The Kidztyme Story
Kidztyme was started when a PTA mom was asked to coordinate a few classes after school at her kids’ elementary school in the Poway Unified School District. When her oldest moved on to middle school, that mom started a similar program there. Soon after that, other schools began asking if she would do the same thing for them.
Fast forward 33 years: That mom is still organizing after-school programs, offering a wide variety of classes to many, many more schools than she could’ve ever imagined back when volunteered to help out the elementary school PTA. Along the way, her oldest child has worked with and for her, starting in high school, through college, through graduate school, and now through motherhood. In fact, the daughter now has three children of her own who attend school in the Poway Unified School District and take classes through Kidztyme. All this time, the administration of this program has been almost exclusively run by the PTA mom and her daughter. This truly is a family organization that has grown through family ties and because of a commitment to providing “our students” with the best after school activities we can find. Over the years, we have provided a service to literally generations of students as quite a few of our students are the children of students who took our classes decades ago.
We, the mom and the daughter who make up Kidztyme, pride ourselves on serving the students of our community. Thank you for your support over the years. Without your belief in us, we would not be able to continue doing what we do.
